Soho, but not all are reputable. If you’re in London and would like to visit a
sauna that is clean and comfortable, where you can relax and chat to other gay
men, check out this list of the best gay saunas in London.
This is biggest and best known chain of gay saunas London. They have
branches throughout the city including those in Shoreditch, Vauxhall, and
Limehouse. The Limehouse sauna has a lovely outdoor area which is overlooked by
passing trains – a great thrill for exhibitionists. All Chariots’ saunas have
many separate steam rooms, dry saunas, heated pool, and qualified massage
For a central sauna experience head to Pleasuredrome in Waterloo.
It’s open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and is almost always busy.
As it’s so close to a main station, Pleasuredrome sees many out of city visitors
who come here to wait for their train home early on weekend mornings. There are
private cabins to hire which are well maintained and have a huge TV installed
which will be playing a constant round of hardcore porn.
This place is a gym and sauna combined which attracts plenty of
visibly fit gay men. A lot of the clientele here are busy city workers who come
to relax after a hard day at work, or for a special weekend treat. Sweatbox Soho
is open until 2am on weekdays, and until 7am on Friday and Saturday. They also
have a pretty full calendar of special events so it’s worth checking out what’s
on before you visit.
The Locker Room
Gay men in the south of London go to The Locker Room when they
need to let off some stream. It’s a no-holds barred sauna where nothing is
taboo. On the last Saturday of every month it is compulsory to be naked. There’s
a couple of thirty-man sauna rooms, relaxation cabins complete with glory holes,
and mirrored theme rooms. The emphasis here is on unadulterated fun – nothing is
discouraged and anything goes.
The Sauna Bar
Is surprisingly central, right in the middle of Covent Garden,
and is one of the few gay saunas in London that happily serves alcohol. There
are the usual steam rooms, relaxations, rooms, saunas, and a huge communal
Jacuzzi. Ideal for a late afternoon sexy chat with other hot guys. The Sauna Bar is open
until midnight from Monday to Thursday and 24 hours a day from Friday to Sunday.
